Archaeological museum
The
Archaeological museum of Kavala is considered one of the most
important ones of Greece.
It includes finds from the Neolithic Age, such as objects of
stone and clay, and also finds from the Dikili Tas from the
Copper Age. In special rooms, finds from Neapolis and ancient
Amphipolis are exposed.
On the first floor, the finds have to do with the wide area of
Thrace and especially with the necropolis in Isimi, Galipsos and
Avdira.
