The prefecture of Kavala is located between the rivers Nestos and Strymonas, which are its natural borders.

Kavala is the capital of the prefecture and it is located on Via Egnatia and it is two hours drive away from Thessaliniki (160 km).

From the western entrance of the city, anyone faces it lying amphitheatrically between the hill sides that surrounded it and the north coast of the Aegean Sea.

Starting in Kyprou str. with its wonderful neoclassical buildings (Town Hall, Municipal Library etc.), we continue our tour through the pedestrian zones with the modern cafes (Megalou Alexandrou str. and Kosti Palama str.) and as we pass through the central square, we meet the Agios Nikolaos Church (Saint Nicolas) with little picturesque shops around and the monument of Apostle Paul.
